Business Profile : Neville Melville

Neville has experience as a management and legal consultant and also in training. His clients have included the Office of the PublicProtector, the National Credit Regulator, the Cape Town Municipality, FAIS, Banking and Long Term Insurance Ombudsmen and a major bank. Formerly, he performed the CEO role on the board of the Ombudsman for Banking Services Ltd for seven years, workingalongside various top-flight, experienced directors of public companies. Prior to that, he set up and was Executive Director of
the national Independent Complaints Directorate and was a practising Advocate.
In 2008, Neville was the court appointed curator of a group of companies. He has been appointed by Finance Minister Trevor Manuel to serve on the board of the Co-Operative Banks Development Agency and on the Financial Services Ombud Schemes Council.
Neville’s formal training includes the degrees BL, LLB and LLM (cum laude), the Senior Executive Programme (Harvard Business School)
and the Graduate Diploma in Company Direction (Graduate Institute of Management and Technology, under the auspices of Institute of Directors).
